Smith & Allen Consulting, Inc. (“SACI,” “we” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through www.saci.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

How we use your information

Our chat assistant

The chat assistant on our site answers questions about SACI using an AI model provided by Anthropic. To produce each reply, the messages in your conversation are sent to Anthropic for processing. We don’t keep the conversation on our servers unless you give us your email address; otherwise it stays in your browser until you close the tab.

If you give the assistant your email address, we save your email address, your name if you gave it, a short summary of what you need and the full conversation in our CRM (HubSpot), and we email a copy to our team so we can follow up with you.

Please don’t share passwords, payment details or other sensitive personal information in the chat.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business and website, and only as they need it to provide their services to us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies for Google Analytics and to keep signed-in users signed in. The chat assistant stores your current conversation in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, such as an ongoing business relationship, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as that law requires.

To make a request, email richard@saci.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No website or system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

International visitors

SACI is based in the United States, and our team works around the world, including in India. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses. They are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
